Factory game with no belts?

Yes. Yes indeed. Because belts are too hard! (despite this lack of belts, my game is still a laggy mess, how ironic)

This was made for the WUX Factory Jam 2026, where the WUX members each made a factory game in ~1 week.

Everything in this game is free-build because I was too lazy to make an inventory. The real test is if you can make an efficient enough factory so that you can beat the game before your game crashes! There's also no way to save your game by the way, so don't get too attached (you have to beat the game in one sitting, which isn't that hard)

I had to cut some corners in the interest of finishing the game on time, so there is no built-in tutorial or hints or anything. So here, on this itch.io page, is the wiki:

To beat the game you need to make a rocket, or more precisely, a launch pad that you use to construct a rocket.

The launch pad requires Ferromass to construct the rocket, and Propellant to fuel that rocket. Ferromass is made in a Chemlab from Refined Slag and Polyethelene. To refine slag you pump raw slag (pumped from slag pools) into a separator with a bunch of electricity. To get Polyethelene in a Chemlab, you need two pipes of petroleum- which you crack from oil in a Chemlab- using Hydronium as a catalyst. Hydronium is made in a Chemlab from water and sulfuric acid, which can both be found naturally. Oh and rocket propellant is petrol + hydronium.

Electricity can only be made by spinning turbines (so realistic!) Turbines spin when they're adjacent to Steam pipes- which you get from pumping water and oil into a Boiler.

Bonus Info:

The Separator doesn't just refine slag, you can also use it to make lots hydronium if you pump steam into it - and it costs less electricity than using a Chemlab.

Thank you for playing. Despite how bad the game turned out, I had a lot of fun making it, seriously. Enjoy :]
